Morton Elementary School
Morton Elementary is named after Oliver P. Morton, the 14th governor of Indiana. Morton School has served the Hessville community as a high school and elementary school since 1937, and has served as a cornerstone institution for decades. The current Morton Elementary School building was built in 1992. Original architecture and sculptures from the early 20th century building are on display as visitors pass through the building’s vestibule. The Morton Elementary School mascot is known as “The Little Governors”, and our motto is, "Every student, every day, the Little Governor Way."
