Irving Elementary School
Washington Irving Elementary school was originally built in 1908 at 4727 Pine Avenue. A new structure was built in 1937, with additions made in 1953 and 1968. The building was razed in 2005 and a new building was constructed the same year. Named after Washington Irving, a great writer of American Literature, Irving prides itself on growing students to achieve success! Our school is home to over 750 students in grades K-6, including our outstanding Applied Skills program and the first Two-Way Spanish Dual Language Immersion program in Lake County Indiana. Our core values are to be Respectul, Organized, Attentive, and Responsible. We are the Panthers, we ROAR!
