Area Career Center Dual Credits

College courses taught to high school students are referred to as Dual Credits since students receive high school and college credits simultaneously.  The University/College is chosen based on what college courses best align to our high school courses.  Instructors must be approved in advance of offering the courses (generally the year prior).   Although the Area Career Center STRIVES to offer dual credits to all students in all programs, they are NEVER GUARANTEED as some programs do not offer dual credits.

The career center currently utilizes Vincennes University or Ivy Tech Community College as dual credit partners.  One major benefit to the student is that there is NO COST!  

Students must complete the online dual enrollment form for the corresponding dual credit partner to start the process.  This online enrollment form is not the same as the form necessary to be admitted to the school (upon graduation).  Each institution has a set deadline that must be followed.

Dual credit courses should appear on the student's high school transcripts however, if the student needs an official transcript they must contact ITCC or VINU directly.
