Looking for fun, creative, and engaging activities for kids and teens? The Hammond Public Library has a fantastic lineup of free programs this February!
For Teens (Grades 6-12)
- Jackbox Games (Feb. 12, 3-5 PM) – Test your creativity and quick thinking in this interactive game session.
- Tasty Travelers: Just Dip It! (Feb. 19, 6-7 PM) – Learn to make delicious dips like guacamole, fried pickle dip, and strawberry cheesecake dip.
- Perler Beads (Feb. 20, 6-7 PM) – Create your favorite anime or kawaii character with colorful Perler beads.
- Embroidery Basics (Feb. 26, 6-7 PM) – Pick up a new skill and explore the art of embroidery!
For Youth (Babies to 5th Grade)
- Storytimes for All Ages – Engaging stories, songs, and activities for little learners.
- Craft Club: Crowns & Ice Cream (Feb. 13, 5-6 PM) – Make Basquiat-inspired oil pastel crowns and learn about the history of ice cream!
- STEAM Squad: Pie Palooza (Feb. 27, 5-6 PM) – Discover the science of flavor pairing and make a mini graham cracker pie!
- Family Fun Night: Valentine’s Party (Feb. 11, 6-7 PM) – Celebrate with crafts, snacks, and a no-sew pillow activity.
- Family STEAM Night: Coding (Feb. 25, 6-7 PM) – Learn coding basics with programmable mice in this hands-on tech adventure!
