
Fultz/Parrish Scholarship
On behalf of benefactor, Roland G. Parrish, the Fultz/Parrish Scholarship Fund of Northwest Indiana, would like to solicit your assistance with providing a student the opportunity to obtain a $2,500 scholarship. A total of four (4) scholarships are granted to four (4) students (two male and two female) annually through our committee. These $2,500 scholarships are awarded on a ONE-TIME basis to students who wish to pursue their dreams of going to college.
The Fultz/Parrish Scholarship is available to students, in their senior year, that either live in OR attend a high school in Hammond, IN. Students from the following high schools are eligible:
Bishop Noll Institute
City Baptist High School
Hammond Academy of Science & Technology
Hammond Central High School
Morton High School
This scholarship will provide a unique opportunity to enhance the intellectual and financial capacity of high school students as they matriculate into the vocational, college, or university of their choice. Enclosed is a packet for students to complete and return to the Fultz/Parrish Scholarship Committee. All packets must be completed, hard copy or oonline in its entirety and postmarked by SATURDAY, February 22, 2025.
Students are required to write a 300 (minimum) word essay. The theme of the essay is:
"What are your long term education and career goals and how do you plan to achieve them?"

Hammond Hispanic Community Committee of Northern Indiana Scholarship Application 2025
Background Information
The Hammond Hispanic Community Committee of Northern Indiana (HHCCNI) is a not-for-profit organization in existence for over 30 years. We are a diverse collective that comes together to enhance the quality of life for the Latinx/Hispanic community, thereby helping to improve the larger community, by providing information and resources, while also highlighting the diverse cultures we represent. We strive to educate and empower the community in all facets of their lives, with a large emphasis on education.
REQUIREMENTS/CHECKLIST
- Must be of Latinx/Hispanic heritage.
- Must submit all required and requested documentation, including essay question response.
- Must be graduating from a Northern Indiana High School in 2025.
- Must meet GPA requirements determined by post-secondary path with a minimum GPA of 3.0 if attending accredited college or university OR a minimum GPA of 2.5 if attending trade or technical school
- Must submit/upload an official high school transcript documenting GPA.
- Must attend an accredited college/university or technical/trade school.
- Must submit/upload a copy of college/university or trade/technical school acceptance letter.
- Must provide a list of all awards, scholarships and grants currently awarded.
- Must provide a list of extracurricular activities, awards, accolades, community service and employment history, if applicable.
- Must submit/upload two, (2) letters of recommendation from a non-family member, including but not limited to a teacher (current or former), guidance counselor, administrator (ex: principal, dean, etc.), community member or other mentor.
- Must submit headshot photo
- If awarded, applicant must submit letter of acceptance to college or trade school
APPLICATION SUBMISSION DETAILS
DEADLINE: All applications and necessary documentation must be submitted/uploaded by March 14, 2025. No late submissions will be accepted for consideration.
- Scholarship award recipients will be notified directly by the HHCC no later than Friday, April 7, 2025.
- The HHCC reserves the right to revoke disbursement for any false information provided and/or unfulfillment of enrollment in post-secondary education.
