On the not-so-technical side of Team Hammond Robotics, we have an organization that has been formed to help "boost" the financial needs of the team. 'Bot Boosters is made up of volunteers, parents of students, and alumni of team 71.
The organization was originally founded to help in fundraising, while simultaneously working to "boost" publicity within the community. However, the Bot Boosters provide Team Hammond team with many other important resources. From fundraising to feeding the team, 'Bot Boosters do it all!
The Bot Boosters, while working with the students, sell products and run demonstrations at various festivals and events in Northwest Indiana. 'Bot Boosters work with the students of Team Hammond to spread the message of FIRST Robotics throughout the community.
'Bot Boosters is a not-for-profit organization that has also helped many other teams form similar types of organizations. We are always willing to assist other FIRST Robotics teams throughout the nation for similar groups to support your own team.
